For the filling you need:

  • 500g broad beans
  • 400g carrots
  • 400g Rice noodles (on request also Brown rice noodles)
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 1EL white peppercorns or ground white pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 - 6 tablespoons oil


  • 500ml oil for frying
  • 1 - 2 tsp salt
  • 1 to 2 tsp vegetable or clear vegetable broth
  • 1 package frozen dough patties

These spring rolls are our family recipe and an absolute feast when they are on the table. The fresh ingredients, enhanced with a spicy paste, encased in a crunchy dough coating. Serve these addictive rolls with spicy or mild sambal and let yourself fall into flavor bliss....

Is it spicy?

No, the spring rolls are not spicy. But you are welcome to use spicy dips.


Balinesian spring rolls are awesome!

These are Indonesian treats that you just have to love. The rolls consist of vegetables, rice noodles and spices, which are wrapped in paper-thin dough sheets and deep-fried. Crispy, spicy and easy to bite into! The pieces are perfect as finger food for parties or as an appetizer. If you like Asian food, you can't miss the Balinesian Spring Rolls. Try them and be amazed by their unique taste.

Let's go:

  • Cut the Beans and Carrots into fine strips. Make sure that the process does not take too long and that the vegetables do not dry out and stay nice and fresh.
  • Soft the Rice noodles in hot water until they are soft but still firm to the bite.
  • Mortar now the Garlic, pepper and the Salt to a paste. Or alternatively: Press the garlic through a garlic press and use ground pepper.
  • Now heat the Oil in a pan and fry the paste briefly until everything smells nice and spicy.
  • Then add the vegetables and fry everything together until the vegetables have softened.
  • Finally, season the vegetables with the vegetable broth.
  • Now come the Noodles into the game. Mix them nicely with the seasoned vegetables and heat everything again briefly.


  • Since the Spring roll dough If the dough is frozen, defrost it in the refrigerator a day before. Use it while it is cold, because then the individual thin patties can be easily separated from each other without tearing.
  • Now put 1 tablespoon of filling on the dough and roll them as in the instructions.

Finally, deep fry the rolls in either a skillet or deep fryer until crisp golden brown.


TIP: Fry only half of the filling at a time, otherwise the pan will quickly become overcrowded.
